Easy DIY Typography Card

Today’s DIY is an easy-to-make typography card that is perfect for birthday cards, invites, and/or announcements.

Open up a word document on your computer and choose a type you like. Make your chosen letter big enough to cover a large part of your card, for example my card is 5 inch by 5 inch so I made my letter 400pt. I also choose to just outline the letter to save ink. Cut out your letter and outline it in pencil.

I cut an image out of an old wallpaper sample sheet and cut it to surround the letter.

Paint around the letter with acrylic or watercolor paint

Lastly embellish with flowers, decorative tape, glitter, and whatever else you’d like! You now have a pretty card to celebrate a loved one’s name!

Have any of you been spending your evenings inside and crafting with this summer heat wave? We can survive anything with some paint, paper, and glue! :)

Your sweet comments make my day a whole lot sunnier! Thank you!
